Our national volunteer program draws on the voices, passion and energy of those who have recovered from perinatal anxiety, depression and postnatal psychosis. Together we raise awareness, reduce stigma and share a message of hope and recovery.
We know perinatal mental illness does not discriminate and that it can affect anyone. Help us reach out to those in your community and others across Australia.
Who can be a PANDA Community Champion?
Anyone that has recovered from a personal experience of perinatal mental illness can apply to be a Community Champion. By personal experience we mean that you have experienced perinatal anxiety and/or depression or postnatal psychosis or supported a partner through their experience.
You also need to be passionate about raising awareness of perinatal mental illness and PANDA's work in line with our vision and mission, with no intention to promote or sell any personal agenda, business or product.
What can you do as a PANDA Community Champion?
Community Champions conduct activities online and in their local communities to help raise awareness of perinatal anxiety, depression and postnatal psychosis; promote PANDA's services and raise vital funds for PANDA.
There are a number of different activities you can choose to get involved with to suit your personal interests, skills and availability which range from distributing PANDA resources; sharing your story on our website or via the media; hosting awareness/fundraising events and getting involved with research, development and influencing how services are provided.
